July 2018 Support Payment Recipients

Lisa Ansell

Lisa AnsellHolding a Bachelor of Nutrition & Dietetics Lisa worked as a dietitian for 9 years before a career change into the food manufacturing industry.  She is keen to develop her skills in an R&D role creating healthier products.

Lisa has now enrolled in a Bachelor of General Studies (Science) and will be using her support payment grant to assist with travel expenses associated with her residential school requirements.

 

Agi Gajic

Agi Gajic Agi is Head Brewer for The Sparkke Change Beverage Company and will use her funding to complete Module 1 of the IBD Diploma Brewing. She has been brewing commercially since 2013, the same year in which she completed her university study resulting in a double degree in Philosophy (BA) and Sustainable Development (BSc).  Having also previously attained the IBD General Cert in Brewing she would like to increase her brewing technical knowledge, skills and abilities.

Daniel Handreck

Daniel HandreckHaving been in the meat industry since he was 17, Daniel is keen to further his career options and stay in the trade that he loves.  He will be completing a Cert IV Meat Processing (Quality Assurance) at TAFESA and would eventually like to be a Health Inspector or Quality Assurance Officer.

 

Sue Heward

Sue Heward As a fourth generation orchardist Sue now works on their 100 year old orchard in rural SA growing figs, quinces, pecans & wine grapes. Singing Magpie Produce make semi sun dried figs & quinces in addition to other gourmet produce. Sue will use her funding to complete 2 courses at Savour in addition to HACCP & Freshcare training.

Stephen Lomman

Stephen Lomman Stephens funding will be used to complete the 2 remaining modules of his Diploma in Distilling through the IBD.  He loves his work as an Assistant Distiller at 23rd Street Distillery in Renmark and cant imagine himself working in any other industry.  We have suggested some future product creations and volunteered to be taste testers should they need them.

Maddison Noble

Maddison Noble Madi started her job knowing very little about craft beer and the beer industry but her curiosity quickly grew into a passion after learning more about the manufacturing processes and the varying and delicious outcomes it can create.  She has now progressed to become an Assistant Brewer at Smiling Samoyed Brewery and is keen to eventually develop some of her own recipes.  Madi will be undertaking a Cert III Food Processing Microbrewing at TAFESA.

Evi Pessios

Evi Pessios Evis Grecian Delights is a homebased small business that was established in 2013 in honour of Evis mum Voula who shared her passion for authentic Greek delicacies. Evi has recently launched her signature vegan gourmet baklava range which boasts 12 different flavours including Espresso Martini, Chocolate Brownie, Raspberry Macadamia & Salted Caramel Pecan Pie.  Having no formal training Evi wants to build on her skills base and take her products to a new level and will be completing Cert III & IV Patisserie at TAFESA.
