This is our final recipient of the week post as we have featured all 292 of our recipients and it seems only fitting that we feature someone from way back near the beginning.

In 2008 Catherine applied wanting to improve her knowledge in running a small business.  At that stage she had worked at Cottage Box Chocolates in Murray Bridge for 14 years and was a co-owner of the business. Her support payment was used to complete Cert IV in Business (Small Business Management).

This funding is one of our EOs favourite stories as both Catherine and her business partner Jean completed Cert IV Business and completely shocked their rental agent when it was time for lease renewal discussions.  Catherine and Jean didn’t just sign the lease renewal as they had done in previous years, this time they were well informed and able to adequately stand-up for themselves.  Love it!
